ROLE PLAYING THROUGH A DILEMMA
This weeks goal is to obtain an enhanced understanding of roles and considerations manifesting while resolving an ethical dilemma.  You will differentiate the roles, considerations, and actions taken by corporations and individuals while resolving ethical dilemmas!  Additionally, you will produce a 5-10-minute narrated PowerPoint presentation or vlog discussing your experiences and what you learned while working on this assignment.
Preparation task.  Remember how Week 3s assignment asked you to keep all your notes, diagrams, and other artifacts?  You will need them for this assignment!  Refresh your memory about Week 3s assignment and the event discussed in the Letter to the Editor.  You may also wish to update the rich picture diagram you created for Week 3s assignment.
Your goal.  Your goal is to roleplay at least three people from Week 3s assignment rich picture diagram as to understand:

    Their role(s) in the event
    Their expectations, perspectives, and potential to contribute to a resolution
    Their personal, and perhaps professional, interests in the event
    Any ethical or moral conflicts they may have experienced

The ability to roleplay is an invaluable tool in decision making because it allows for the decision-maker to step into someone elses shoes as part of the decision-making process.  Not only does such an act enable a decision-maker to appreciate an event from multiple perspectives, but it also helps foster a stronger sense of empathy.  Also, many leaders and trainers view empathy as a key ingredient to leadershipsee https://t.ly/Erz7 for insight on this point.
Step 1.  Choose at least three people from Week 3s assignment rich picture diagram to roleplay.  Choose individuals you think you would enjoy roleplaying!  (Note: you may assume a corporation/business as a person.)
Step 2.  Take on the role of each of the three individuals by acting out their part in the event.  Feel free to stand in the middle of the room, conduct yourself as each individual, use their words and ideas, move and walk like them, and act being them during the event.  If they are introverted, then take a moment to be quiet and notice how the world occurs around you.  If they are extroverted, then act out and feel your participation in a busy world.  Make sure to act out all three individuals and do not be afraid to mimic their behaviors in a physical space.  (It is more fun to do this step with a friend!  If you are brave enough, record your acting and include it in the vlog!)
Step 3.  The previous step likely offered insight into how the three individuals felt and thought during the event.  Given your knowledge of the event and the experiences from Step 2, answer the following questions in your notes:

    What was each individuals role(s) in the event?
    What was each individuals expectations, perspectives, and potential to contribute to a resolution?
    What was each individuals personal, and perhaps professional, interests in the event?
    Did the individual experience ethical or moral conflicts?

Step 4.  Using everything from week 3s assignment and the previous three steps, create a 5-10-minute narrated PowerPoint presentation or vlog discussing your experiences and what you learned while working on this assignment.  You may want to reflect on the following questions while preparing the presentation or vlog:
