24 Feb Prenatal/Infant Development; Transactional, Bioecological, RDS Models
As you engage with the material for Modules 5 and 6, what issues come up for you? What are your thoughts and feelings about the topics? · Discuss some of the major points of prenatal and infant development.
· Discuss transactional, bioecological, and relational developmental systems models. How have theorists such as Bronfenbrenner, Sameroff, and Lerner changed the trajectory of developmental psychology/science? Or have they? How has developmental psychology/science changed over the past several decades?
· Discuss your choice of topics from Modules 5 and 6 from a Christian perspective. Are developmental theories and metatheories, and the other topics of these 2 modules, compatible with a Christian worldview? If so, how? If not, in what ways are they not? If not, how does a Christian developmental psychologist resolve the conflict?
You are not limited to these questions and topics, and you do not need to answer all the questions or address all the topics posed above. They are suggested to provide a starting point for your thought processes. Share your own ideas that relate to the topics of the module, and pose questions of your own if you wish.
