The cohort sequential design is a type of longitudinal study that involves following a single cohort of individuals from one age or grade level. In this design, the researcher measures the frequency of bullying for example, in the PICOT chosen, secondary school within the same cohort of students. If the researcher wants to measure the frequency of cyberbullying or on school grounds at different grade levels in a secondary school, they will select a group of students from one grade level and measure the frequency of bullying among that group. Within six weeks, they would measure the frequency of bullying among the same group of students within six weeks and so on.

The cohort sequential design allows the researcher to track changes in the frequency of bullying over time and across different grade levels within the same cohort. This design is useful for studying the development and progression of bullying over time.
