Social Justice Written Analysis

This paper will focus on the concept of Social Justice and how it impacts Health Inequity in Canada and how it relates to other social determinants of health. It will discuss the concepts of Social Justice and Health Inequity, and how the social determinants chosen impact these concepts. 

Part A

Research a social justice issue in your neighbourhood (newspaper articles etc (must be relevant and from the last 5 years).

In complete sentences and in list format, list all your search engines and all search terms used to identify the social justice issue.

List the social justice issue chosen and provide a minimum of 3 links to your research that you used to identify this.

Using Potter and Perry Fundamentals of Canadian Nursing 7th Edition –

· Identify 3 Social determinants of health and how each social determinant identified relates to the Social justice issue.

· Provide this information in full sentences in point form.

· Write one paragraph describing how you feel this social justice issue impacts your neighbourhood and why you chose the 3 social determinants. Include in your paragraph which demographic you feel is most affected by this issue and why. 

· In 2-3 sentences, write what you learned about this social justice issue and how it affects your neighbourhood ( Jane and finch -North York, Canada).

Part A Instructions:

· Begin the paper with a brief introduction paragraph before listing your research.

· Use APA format (font, spacing, title page, reference page, intext citations)? 

· Write a brief introduction paragraph for an academic essay?

· Include your search information and terms?

· Identify a Social Justice issue within your neighbourhood and provide links to 3 articles supporting your finding?

· Identify at least 3 social determinants of health and how they relate to the issue?

· Identify which demographic would be most impacted by your Social Justice issue?

· Check your spelling and grammar?

Part B

Create an infographic (poster, flyer etc.) that targets the demographic in your neighbourhood most affected by the social justice issue you identified, to bring awareness to this group, including the social determinants of health you identified.

Remember the concepts of media rich theory and how to best communicate the above to your target audience (demographic).

Part B Instructions:

Develop the infographic to appeal to your identified demographic?

Identify the issue and social determinants affected?

Infographic should provide information useful to the affected demographic to raise awareness
