1: Run both websites through the Semrush ‘Site Audit’ tool to any identify technical issues with the site and briefly summarize your findings in a new .docx file. The summary should be roughly one paragraph, but there is no required length. See Resource 1 for guidance.
2: Next, navigate through each site to identify obvious technical issues and describe overall effectiveness of the ‘UX Design’ for each page. It is recommended to budget 45 minutes to describe each describing each site, 90 minutes in total. To earn full credit, review ‘UX Design’ for at least four pages for each site (eight pages in total) (https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/ux-user-experience)
3: In a new .docx file, conduct a ‘SWOT Analysis’ to list the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for each site. To earn full credit, your analysis should incorporate guidance in Resource 1 and Resource 2 below in addition to the Resources from in previous weeks.
4: Lastly, develop ‘Recommendations’ to improve each site’s rankings and visibility on Google SERPs that include backlinking, rich results, and UX design improvements. To earn full credit, justify your recommendations using the Resources from Weeks 2, 3 and 4.
