Research Capsule Proposal for Title Defense Schematic Diagram of the Study Profile of the Learning Styles Respondents Visual learning Gender Auditory learning Age Reading/Writing Strand learning Kinesthetic learning Methodology/ Research This chapter will demonstrate the research design, respondents, data gathering Design instruments, procedures, and data analysis of the study. It will establish the underlying principles for the application of research design, the conditions of sample selection, the validity of the data collection procedure and instruments, the foundation for applying various statistical techniques in data analysis, and research ethics. A quantitative-descriptive design will be used to produce the study. It will make the study straight-forward and uncomplicated for the researchers to plan and conduct. Setting/ Population/ Sample The sample needed in this study is 147 out of the 235 grade 11 students, school year 2022-2023, in San Francisco National High School, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte. With 95% confidence and a 5% margin of error. Sampling Design The researcher will use simple random sampling. This kind of sampling design is employed by selecting a random population where each respondent has an equal chance of participation. Data Gathering Tools In order to collect the data, the researchers will make questionnaires comprising two sections to be used. The first part aims to identify the respondents’ profiles, and the second will seek to establish which learning styles are most effective for them. Data Gathering Procedures Through a letter addressed to the secondary school’s principal, the researchers will request authorization. In the letter, the researchers will request permission from the students to administer the questionnaires. Upon approval, the researchers will hand out the questionnaires to the student respondents in person. An explanation of the study’s justification will be given by the researchers themselves. The information will be compiled, tallied, examined, and interpreted afterwards. Data Analysis Plan The following are the statistical tools to be employed in the study: 1. Frequency, Percentage 2.
