Research and explore information related to old age and driving including collision statistics, causes and concerns related to elderly drivers. Explain the impact on elderly drivers if their licences are taken away and explain what options are in place for this process to happen.

3. Drinking and Driving – What are the legal issues and strategies related to reducing drinking and driving? You need to introduce case law to this discussion along with statute information on drinking and driving law. Research other jurisdictions to see what reduction strategies work and what does not. What deterrent factors would you suggest to decrease drinking and driving, increase visibility and decrease traffic deaths? What strategies would you employ and why? 

4. Partnerships with stakeholders,-there are many people impacted by traffic fatalities, it’s not just a police problem. The POLICE should work and share the results of consultations with people working on vehicle safety standards, road designs, medical services and other police enforcement measures. Other stakeholders may include the courts (provincial, civil), crowns, lawyers, paralegals, insurance companies, Ministry of Transportation, and emergency medical personnel etc. Answer the both the costs and the benefits of partnering with stakeholders. 5.Working with victims groups -to educate both the public and POLICE officers on the devastating effect fatalities have on families of victims. This exposure and partnership will help focus POLICE efforts and educate POLICE traffic officers on how important their jobs are. Best Practices: Specific programs or partnerships where the Police would keep a list of best practices that worked to reduce the number of fatalities. ‘Great Britain, still has a fatality rate that is more than 20% lower than Canada’s. Continued efforts must be made to promote successful existing strategies and introduce targeted initiatives Answer the both the costs and the benefits of collecting best practices? What strategies would you employ and why? 

7. The potential economical impact on the province of Ontario can be greatly affected by the ability of police to address collision rates. Societal costs equate to $30.1 million a day or $45,000 per traffic collision in Ontario. The ability of the Police to reduce collision rates by 1% in a single year could save Ontarians $33.7 million annually. Research other jurisdictions to see what works and what does not. What deterrent factors would you suggest to decrease collision rates and traffic deaths? What strategies would you employ and why?
