BA 405 Case Analysis Research Paper
Each student will choose a different case to analyze throughout the semester. Cases that are available to choose from are cases 2-38 located in the back section of our eBook class text and listed in the table of contents. Email me at [email protected] by Monday, August 30 with your top fifteen prioritized case choices. Based on a first come first serve basis, I will approve your highest available case choice so that most students are researching a different case.
ISSUES: You should identify the key issues of the case.
ANALYSES: You then need to conduct the following three analyses on your case: financial, SWOT, and Porter’s Five-Forces.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Based on the details, correlations, and synthesis of your analyses, include your feasible recommendations which will address the main issues of your case. Recommendations: You will develop and present a recommended course of action, as you would to a company’s board of directors, based on your analyses. The viability of the recommendations, level of implementation detail, justification, and supporting documentation will also be considered in your case analysis evaluation.
Your Case Analysis research paper should be submitted as a Word document, double-spaced, 1” margins, and size 12 font for your entire paper.
Your 12-page paper should be approximately 6 full pages of text citing all references in-text APA style including details from the required content listed above (issues, financial analysis, SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five-Forces analysis, and recommendations) plus another 4 pages of supportive exhibits of your text (charts, tables, graphs, diagrams, pictures, etc.). Additionally, add the following 2 pages: First page is your title page including BA 405, case name, your name, and date of paper submission. Last page is your References page(s) citing all your sources APA style (minimum 10 references).
NOTE: We will review Chapter 13 of the Dess eBook text early in the semester for suggestions on how to analyze a strategic management case.
