post#1 Idalmi: In my opinion, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are relevant to all of us, in both our professional and personal lives. More specifically, the SDGs’ goal is to highlight the incredible work that nurses around the world are doing to improve access to health care, educate populations, and address nutrition, among other things. This demonstrates that nurses are the primary providers of health care for all community members in all settings, and that they are critical to achieving the SDGs. Although nurses have a duty to strive toward the SDGs, particularly the health-related goals, governments also have a commitment to provide the resources that will allow nurses to contribute meaningfully to the goals. Governments have specific direction for both national and global legislative proposals, such as achieving and maintaining universal access to medical care, recruiting, supporting, and retaining the healthcare workforce, achieving sustainable, and facilitating and co-ordinating partnership and collaboration throughout many different sectors and organizations. Every intervention, no matter how insignificant, is significant. Social media networks like Facebook and Twitter are one method to utilize your opinion to lead. Nurses can use these platforms responsibly to disseminate evidence-based information to coworkers and the general population, as well as to raise nursing’s job description.

post#1 Tatyana: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiative was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, providing a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests (United Nations, 2022). The SDG initiative consists of 17 goals including but not limited to quality education, clean water and sanitation, good health, and well-being. I feel that the SDG initiative is an important cause that affects everyone on the planet and if we want to see change, we have to be a part of it. A community nurse can help with these goals by becoming involved. With the shortage of nurses, it’s important for nurses to find ways to give back whether through educating, volunteering, or denoted to a cause. Staying informed on current information circulating healthcare policies, laws, and changes through news and publications help us to spread proper information and stay up to date. Through the United Nations, you can volunteer abroad, in your own country, and even online.
