With so many people leaving ministry due to burn-out and compassion fatigue, it is crucial for chaplains to value the fundamental need for self care.
Read Chapters 1-2 in Oswald textbook.
Prepare to discuss the following:
Share an example of what you did for good self-care and an example of when you neglected self-care. It could have been in a ministry situation, business situation, or just regularly helping someone in need.
What was the outcome?
Write a 300-word post addressing the questions above. Be sure to include information from the text and cite them appropriately.
Reply due Saturday by 11:59 pm. After reading the posts of all your fellow students, reply to two fellow students with a minimum 200-word post giving them feedback on their discussion. Feel free to ask questions regarding the information they share.
