18 Nov Walt Disney Innovation in the Digital Age
Order Instructions
you will assume the role of a consultant who has been hired to help improve a company’s performance in the digital age. We most probably will not find a company whose entire operation does not currently use some form of technology or digital process but we may. Consider selecting one area of operations or one segment of the value chain (i.e., customer service, order entry, delivery, etc.) while focusing on organizational behavior. You may use the company that you currently work for or choose a company that you feel needs assistance in updating their business practices.
When evaluating a company, it is important to start by interviewing the people within the organization. It is also imperative to review the mission and vision statements previously established within the organization. These statements reflect the words leaders within the workplace will use to define the organization’s purpose and direction. Mission and vision statements that are articulated clearly and concisely will encourage workplace motivation and productivity while providing an inspirational outlook of the company’s future.
You will need to choose a company that allows you to interview someone at the management level so you can determine their current best practices based on organizational behavior concepts. You will also want to discuss and evaluate the current mission and vision statement to determine what revisions may be needed in order to guide the organization in the new direction of competing in the digital age. Throughout the course, you will analyze current processes and give recommendations for improvement in the following areas of business:
Virtual Team Management
Behavior Assessment Tools
Performance Assessment Tools
Motivation and Rewards
Organizational Culture Development
You will work on this project throughout the term, submitting components in each week/unit following the schedule listed below by unit. The final product will include the following components:
Introduction
Background of the industry
Organizational behavior within the industry

Name of the company

Four of these eight sources can come from the list of resources included at the end of this file. You are responsible for finding the additional 4 resources needed.
Remember: Personal interviews and the company’s website, handbook and any other company documentation is considered a credible resource/reference. Be sure to include any such as resources.
