– in part ii), the focus is on what difference this diversity made over the long term; it's important to keep in mind that the religious dimension of western society (or the lack thereof) is only one factor contributing to change over time; still, as Marshall argues and as Woodhead helps us to understand, the shift away from a single Church to social and political structures that had to somehow accommodate religious diversity had huge implications, and has helped to shape current conditions; I've already identified secularization and individualization as a part of the legacy of the rise of religious diversity, but you'll want to add one or two other points for a full response, each in its own paragraph
