When considering technological changes that we currently encounter or will encounter in the workplace, one vital area involves the advances of AI and how that effects the individual worker and the company.  For this paper, we will be considering two main points.  1. Exposure to using AI on the job; and 2. The impact of AI on the future of work.

Therefore, to complete this assignment, you will be required to read two articles and then discuss 4 topics in total related to those two articles.  Expectations are explained below.

Paper Requirements:

• NOTE: This is a research-based paper. Your paper should be 5-7 pages, and written in APA 7th Edition style with a cover page and reference page. 
  • Be sure to cite your work within each paragraph where you are summarizing the thoughts.
  • On your reference page, be sure to list the full source of what was used in the paper (and shared in your text). These must match.
  • Required readings include the two required articles shared here plus at least one outside reliable and valid source.
  • Do NOT write your paper in a “question-and-answer” format. You need to use level headers to organize what you will cover in each section.  You can view the Sample APA paper shared in the “Library Access and APA Resources” tab, located in the “Getting Started” Module.
• Begin with an introduction that introduces the topic to the reader and why it is important to consider. Set up what you will discuss in a logical manner.
• Read Article 1 and using level headers to organize your paper, consider and discuss the following:
  • Based on the findings in the article, how does education level influence a worker's exposure to AI in the workplace? Provide examples to support your answer.
  • Discuss how gender and income levels intersect with AI exposure in the workplace. What might these trends indicate for policy makers? 
• Read Article 2. Consider and discuss the following:
  • Compare and contrast the two potential futures for AI's impact on jobs as discussed in the article. Which future do you believe is more likely, and why?
  • What role does ethical decision-making play in shaping AI’s impact on the labor market, according to the article? Provide at least two examples.
• Provide a Conclusion paragraph to pull your thoughts together and to guide the reader into understanding why this is a topic that should be considered as important now and into the future. In this section, consider the following:
  • How does the role of a leader in empowering individuals within Drucker's information-based organization evolve when AI becomes a fundamental part of the workplace?
  • Consider both the opportunities and challenges AI presents in fostering human potential.
• Be sure to provide backing from the literature throughout your paper.  Note that each paragraph starts fresh, so citing in one paragraph does not cover your whole paper.  Be sure to list your sources in your reference page as well.
