This week you will submit your TOPIC and OUTLINE for your Decision-Making Process Paper

I found this really simple format to help you all in your outline writing. Give it a try.

Creating a topic paper outline can help you organize your thoughts and structure your paper effectively. Here are some simple instructions to guide you:

1. Choose Your Topic:

· Select a clear and focused topic for your paper.

2. Research:

· Gather relevant information from credible sources to support your topic. Try to gather at least 5 sources- you will need twice that amount for the final paper.

3. Create a Title:

· Develop a concise and descriptive title for your paper. This can be a work in progress.

4. Outline Structure:

I. Introduction

· Hook: Start with an attention-grabbing sentence. Try this out and see what comes to mind, The good thing is that this is the beginning and you will probably make several revisions.

· Background Information: Provide context or background information about your topic.

· Thesis Statement: State the main point or argument of your paper.

II. Body Paragraphs

· Main Points: Identify the main points that support your thesis. (Usually 3-5 points)- bullet points

· Supporting Evidence: For each main point, list evidence, examples, or quotes that support it- succinct/concise points- not a paper/paragraphs- that will come later in your final submission.

III. Conclusion- this can be a work in progress

· Restate Thesis: Summarize your thesis statement in different words.

· Summary of Main Points: Briefly recap the main points discussed in the body.

· Closing Thought: End with a final thought or call to action.

In this assignment, you will be writing a 6–8-page paper [excluding cover and reference pages] identifying, comparing, and contrasting at least 3 different decision-making approaches of care from a multidisciplinary perspective using a pertinent and significant topic in nursing (see sample list provided i.e., registry and travel nurses), continuous quality improvement and patient satisfaction, and magnet designation or another current and relevant nursing issue) the topic MUST BE APPROVED by your nursing instructor before writing the paper.
