You are the FNP seeing a 1 -week old Caucasian female (S. W) during her newborn visit. S.W was born 39 weeks via C-section without complications. Birth weight- 7lbs 9oz. S.W was discharged home with mom after 3 days in the hospital. Mom reports her breastmilk has come in and S.W is breastfeeding well.
Mom does express concern over small, white bumps on patient’s forehead, nose, and eyelids.
Mom, in her mid-20’s, is a student in nursing school and first- time mom, dad is home currently on leave, but will be leaving in 1 week to go off shore to work on an oil rig. He will be away from home 2-3 weeks at a time.
