Preparing the Assignment

Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the assignment. Contact your course faculty if you have questions.

General instructions:

Use Canva.com or other infographic development tool of your choice to create an infographic describing leading cultures of excellence in healthcare organizations and address the following requirements.

Include the following sections (detailed criteria listed below and in the grading rubric):

1. Use Canva.com or another platform of your choice to create an infographic. View the video below to learn more about using Canva. Using Canva

1. Ensure the infographic is readable
2. Ensure the infographic is well-organized
3. Correctly cite and reference ideas and information that come from scholarly literature.  Add references used to the bottom of your infographic in a smaller font.
4. Follow rules of grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation consistent with formal, scientific writing.
5. Abide by Chamberlain University academic integrity policy.
6. Submit the completed infographic as a PDF or JPG file to the Canvas Dropbox.
7. Screenshot: Submit a screenshot of your infographic in Canva or other platform of your choice.
   1. Highlight the date and time your infographic was created as shown in the image below.
   2. The infographic you submit should match the screen shot you submit with your assignment.
   3. The date your infographic is created should also coincide with the session of your submission.

Include the following sections/headings in the infographic. You do not have to use these exact words for headings, but they should be labeled in a way that clearly addresses each topic. 

1. Culture of Excellence: Explain the concept of a culture of excellence in healthcare. Identify at least three specific organizational characteristics or practices that reflect a culture of excellence. Discuss how a culture of excellence is significant to your selected advanced practice nursing role. Provide support from at least one scholarly source.   
2. Mission, Vision, and Values: Describe how an organization’s mission, vision, values, and organizational structure contribute to a culture of excellence. Provide support from at least one scholarly source. 
3. Leading a Culture of Excellence: Provide three leadership strategies that the advanced practice nurse leader can use to support a culture of excellence.  Provide support from at least one scholarly source.
