You have provided the foundations for what governance should look like, how the company is impacted, and what action items might be an outcome of the EDM implementation. As in IP3, the execs need to know what that means to their future growth. The data governance discussion should shift to outcomes resulting from a quality EDM, designed with governance in mind as an outcome. You want to provide evidence that shows a direct link between their EDM initiative, their governance requirements (HIPAA, HiTech, etc.), and expectations of adherence through your primary EDM elements identified back in IP1.

Assignment

We are finally tying everything together in the purposeful design of this EDM, from design framework through governance adherence. We need to explain how this EDM design, based on IP4 descriptions of governance and IP2 data designs, means to keep the executives out of jail or other legal trouble. They want to understand was the peer-reviewed research you found that supports company improvements relating to governance (like training or process changes) and how the EDM will control the data growth through your IP4 discussion about governance, specifically if their future will be sustainable. Model this section after your IP3 response to the IP2 analysis.

Investigate and respond to what parts of your governance research directly impact the company in both efficiency and compliance. Diagram the analysis of why your description (from research) of governance blends with the EDM framework elements you found and aids the organization.

    • Categorize the governance outcomes based on current standards.
