Termination and Evaluation

This week, think about how to bring a group to a close.

Please select one of the following prompts as a starting point for your post:

• Review group termination in your textbook. Compare the strengths and challenges of at least two types of group termination.
• Discuss at least three emotions a group member could experience during the termination phase. What can you do as a group leader to help group members cope with these emotions?
• Describe at least one method of evaluating group outcomes. Why did you choose to review this method?
• Discuss your feelings about peer review, a way of evaluating process by having one or more “peers” (usually other group leaders) periodically sit in on a group. Would you be comfortable being observed by another professional? How would manage receiving critical feedback?
