Review the attached article.  It discusses just how fast decisions need to be made in the business environment.  This decision making has some serious implications with regard to conflict management.  After reading the article answer the following questions in detail.

• Based on your reading in chapter 7 what are the different conflicts that are discussed in the article?
• Organizations and project teams can get stuck at any given time with regard to decision making.  What does the article insinuate with regard to the project manager's role in getting the organization or team unstuck?
• Chapter 8 of the text is a diverse chapter in terms of concepts.  Based on what you read in the article, what concepts are directly relate to the need for project managers top be decisive.
• We've talked about the need to follow protocol in the past weeks.  However, escalating circumstances is something that may need to happen for any given reason.  Discuss how procurement/contracts could help (Note: There are procurement related articles in the Procurement Corner section of Modules 1 – 3.  They can help provide perspective.).
