Introduction/Literature Review: The overall goal of this section is to introduce the overall "problem" that you will be researching. Clearly describe your identified problem and use existing research to justify why it is essential (i.e., why your research is "significant").

Define all constructs used in your study, and review relevant literature (discuss results of previous studies in this area and introduce relevant theories/methods).

Below are descriptions of the main components of the Introduction/Literature Review

Title: Provide a brief and meaningful title for your project 

Introduction: The background or introduction section describes the basic facts and importance of the research area – What is your research area, the motivation of the research, and how important is it for the industry practice/knowledge advancement? 

Problem Statement and Research Question: The problem statement provides a clear and concise description of the issues that need to be addressed – What is the specific problem in that research area that you will address (e.g., lack of understanding of a subject, low performance …)? 

Literature Review: Preliminary literature review: provide a summary of previous related research on the research problem and their strength and weaknesses and a justification of your research – What is known/what has been done by others? Moreover, why is your research still necessary? 

This section should end with a "Current Study" section that starts with a brief overview of your study and includes your specific research questions/aims, along with specific hypotheses (if appropriate). Make sure you number your Research Questions and Hypotheses.
