Students should read the following case study and complete a comprehensive case analysis that satisfies the criteria described below.

Planning & Preparation

After reading the case analysis report requirements below and reviewing the assigned case, please take time early in the week to review the items in the Additional Case Analysis Resources area at the bottom of this assignment.  These resources are included to provide additional clarity for each required component of the case analysis report.  If you are unsure of how to complete any component of this assignment, please refer to these resources as a first solution.

Case Analysis Components

Part I – Business Case Review 

Provide an overview of the assigned business case that addresses the following questions in your narrative.  Your review should not only identify the information requested but provide analysis that is informed by learnings from our assigned readings.

• Provide a synopsis of this case.
• Which are the three most critical issues of this strategic management business case?
• Which are the three most relevant Lessons Learned of this strategic management business case?     
• Which are the three most relevant Best Practices of this strategic management business case?

Part II – Business Case Analysis

The second section of your Business Case Analysis Report focuses on using strategic frameworks to conduct an analysis of the industry and business that is the subject of our case study.

Industry Macro-Environmental Analysis

1. Conduct a PESTEL analysis of the company’s industry

• Identify 2 factors for each segment of the PESTEL
• Provide analysis of each identified factor

2. Conduct a Porter 5 Forces analysis of the company’s industry

• Identify 2 factors for each force
• Provide analysis of each identified force

Business Analysis

Conduct a SWOT analysis of the company’s industry

• Identify 2-3 factors for each SWOT quadrant
• Provide analysis of each identified factor

Financial Analysis

Identify 3 key problems or strategic financial issues faced by the business that is the focus of the case analysis.

For each identified key problem or strategic financial issue students should provide the following:

• Identify and evaluate alternatives
• Recommend a course of action of implementing proposed alternative
• Create an Implementation and Execution Plan to address identified alternatives.

As there are many sections included in this Business Analysis, it is crucial that you use appropriate headers and subheaders to clearly organize your writing for the reader.
