Potential examples may include Artificial Intelligence (AI), RFID tags, automation, telework, digital marketing, monitoring devices, or other types of technology resulting in ethical issues for businesses use of such technology. ???????

an interesting academic research paper, essay, video, or other presentation from an informed source;
a short summary of the key points of analysis or opinions in the source material and an explanation of why the team concluded that this was interesting material for review by the class; and
a set of three provocative questions to guide the class discussion.

Step One
Review the cited source material selected by Team One along with their posted summary and questions. Consider whether the analysis or opinion expressed in the source material is sound and persuasive. Is it based on an accurate understanding of the facts? Post a short statement with your reaction to the source material.
Step Two
Choose at least one of the questions and prepare, edit, and post a careful and thoughtful response to the question in a paragraph or two. You may cite outside sources or course materials in your response.
Step Three
Review the posts of your classmates responding to the questions posted by the team. Select two?classmates who answered a different question than you did or who answered the same question differently. Prepare and post a reply to your classmates addressing the substance of their answer.

In an ever-changing digital world, A.I. in business is prevalent and increasing. McShane (2022), in her article for Wharton online, describes how fast A.I. is growing in market size when she states, “The global A.I. market size was worth $62 billion in 2020, and is expected to have an annual growth rate of 40.2% from 2021 to 2028, according to Grand View Research” (para. 2). A 40.2% growth rate in seven years is a?massive?leap that can lead to even bigger developments in automation and efficiency for businesses.
A.I. stands for artificial intelligence and is commonly thought of as using technology to obtain greater efficiency in specific parts of a business. For example, A.I. can be used for providing customer service, making product recommendations, identifying fraud, marketing, etc. (McShane, 2022). But as time and technology advance, A.I. will likely creep its way into all facets of business, which raises serious ethical concerns. We, as a group, wonder if peopleand businesseshave thought long and hard about the foreseen (and unforeseen) consequences if A.I. were to be adopted in all industries. As you read the required article and supplemental articles, please keep in mind this idea of the ethical implications of widespread A.I. adoption in business.
Our team concluded that this would be interesting material for review since A.I. is rapidly evolving and being utilized by more businesses daily. Additionally, the highly recommended articles also mention the use of A.I. in manufacturing, coding, and its use and ethical concerns in the medical field. We believe that by reviewing these articles collected by our team, our classmates will be able to engage in an interesting discussion about the ethics and legal implications of A.I. in various industries.
