Once I start my teacher career, I would ensure that I review over each children’s health records and made sure that I am fully aware and understand any and all of their allergies, and reoccurring conditions associated with their disability. I would also train the children to use the proper hand washing procedure to the best of their abilities. Therefore, slowing the spread of bacteria and viruses, which has an even greater importance when dealing with children whose overall health has already been compromised. Furthermore, I think it would be a positive idea to create an "At-A-Glance" phone directory sheet, which would have each child’s name and primary care doctor as a reference to use in case the parents are not available during a non 911 emergency. I feel this extra non-required step would make for an even safer and healthier environment for children to learn.
