Healthcare managers need to understand their community populations for many reasons. Some of those reasons are connected to health data factors (i.e., diabetes rates, infant mortality, etc.) and race. However, the burden of finding a diverse, qualified workforce that matches the race and ethnic diversity of the population served becomes more and more challenging. As a future manager in healthcare, finding innovative ways to bridge the gap of understanding all cultures is imperative.
