I am doing an internship this semester and am supposed to create a learning contract to send to my employer that includes my academic and professional goals and three analytical questions. The instructions about the assignment are included below and my job description is also included below. 

Learning Contract: The learning contract should include the following, totaling a minimum of 3 pages, 1.5-spaced, Times New Roman:

1. Indicate that your internship is for academic credit as part of your ES major/ minor. 

2. The nature and details of the internship, including projects, tasks, and skills. 

3. Intended learning goals, incl. at least 1 professional and 1 academic SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, timely) goal.

4. At least three analytical questions about your internship.

5. How the internship relates to your course of study.

The purpose of the learning contract is to (1) foster reflection on experiential learning, to optimize the learning experience, (2) serve as a contract should the internship change form, and (3) serve as an assessment tool. The learning contract should be approved by your site supervisor, then approved by me, before starting the internship. Please send me an electronic copy when it is approved. It can be revised one time as your responsibilities and goals develop (by the midterm meeting at the latest). Since feedback from your site to me is not shared with you, please solicit qualitative feedback from your site supervisor throughout the semester.

Analytical Questions (examples): How is your group structured? What scale does it work at? How does it conceive of environmental change? What assumptions, strengths and weaknesses does this have? How do they approach, frame, communicate and solve environmental problems? What are their conceptions of nature and environmental goods? How is your group financed/supported? How does that impact the pursuit of its mission and staffing? What is the group’s relationship w/ the community? How is performance assessed (is it)?

Care about the environment? Want to help make it easier for people to make the green choice? We are looking for one self-starting individual who enjoys new projects and creating change. This individual will join one other in managing the whole ambassador program. You will manage a team of managers who will manage the ambassadors. As Directors, you help build out new material, communicate with the founder & marketing team, and ensure we are staying mission-aligned and providing as many resources for consumers as possible. We are looking for individuals who like research, outreach, and program development and are excited to help us get the word out there about over 100+ sustainable companies we have found around the world. The goal of the program is to create an ambassador program that we will incorporate into schools across the world, these individuals will help us design, launch and manage this program. The more schools we onboard the more we can help shift to sustainable alternative consumption. We are looking for sustainability champions wanting to help make it easier for consumers to be sustainable one purchase at a time.

Ambassador Program Director Role : The goal is to get E-CO Alternatives name out and educate/provide resources to consumers to help them shop sustainably (find sustainable alternatives & know what to look for) 

– manage a team of managers who support ambassadors 

– create programs to support managers & ambassadors

– help with developing marketing materials/outreach materials for the managers to disperse
