As the previous units of this course have shown, being successful in your job search requires diligent effort. Review your job search plan and the interview strategy that you have developed. Write an evaluation of your efforts so far, assessing your progress and critiquing your plan to move forward. Also, review the feedback you have received from your classmates. Discuss the lessons you have learned from that feedback and what additional steps you might take at this point to increase your chances of getting a job.

One way to remain marketable in the IT world is to further your education. When considering continuing your education, a number of important questions arise that you’ll need to answer. Does a graduate degree make sense for you, or will a certification program be best? Is there a good program that allows you to continue working while you attend school? Can you obtain financial aid to help pay? Does your company provide aid or a path to promotion for you if you continue your education?
Research and discuss a plan to extend your formal education via graduate school or professional certifications. Be sure to identify your learning and career goals and the types of curricula and schools that would meet those goals.

Make a list of the things that you could do to make the interview happen. For instance, think about whether connections in your social network could help you by identifying contacts or providing some insider knowledge.
