Assessment Description

The purpose of this assignment is for students to familiarize themselves with similarities among commonly used business plan models. Students will describe how to use systems-based theoretical applications in the management of health care systems and services.

Research a minimum of three business plan models. (Please note, you cannot choose those provided in Microsoft Project or Apple Merlin.)

In a paper of 1150-1,500-words:

Compare the three business plan models.

Describe the strengths and limitations of these models.

Compare these models to the business plan models in either Microsoft Project or Apple Merlin.

Select the model that you believe will work best for your assigned CLC Business Plan and explain your rationale for this selection.

Using your selection, describe how to use systems-based theoretical applications in the management of health care systems and services.

Research should include a minimum of three scholarly, peer-reviewed sources.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Benchmark – Business Plan Models – Rubric

1. Business Plan Models Comparison —-A comparison of the three business plan models is thoroughly explored and clearly explained with relevant details and support.

2. Model Strengths and Limitations —-A description of the strengths and limitations of each model is provided with appropriate details and support.

3. Microsoft Project or Apple Merlin Business Plan Model Comparison— A comparison of the three business plan models with the models provided in Microsoft Project or Apple Merlin is thoroughly explored and clearly explained with relevant details and support.

4. CLC Business Plan Model Selection and Rationale— Selection of a business plan model that would work best for CLC Business Plan and a rationale for the selection are incomplete or otherwise deficient.

5. Systems-Based Theoretical Applications (B)— A description of how to use systems-based theoretical applications in managing health care systems and services is provided with appropriate details and support.

6. Thesis Development and Purpose—- Thesis is clear and forecasts the development of the paper. Thesis is descriptive and reflective of the arguments and appropriate to the purpose.

7. Argument Logic and Construction—- Clear and convincing argument that presents a persuasive claim in a distinctive and compelling manner. All sources are authoritative.

8. Mechanics of Writing (includes spelling, punctuation, grammar, language use) —- Prose is largely free of mechanical errors, although a few may be present. The writer uses a variety of effective sentence structures and figures of speech.

9. Paper Format (use of appropriate style for the major and assignment) —- All format elements are correct.

10. Documentation of Sources——- Sources are completely and correctly documented, as appropriate to assignment and style, and format is free of error.
