For the final Portfolio Project (due in Week 8), you will choose a person from a period in US history from exploration to 1877, create an essay about a challenge that person faced during a period in U.S. history from colonial times to Reconstruction. The Portfolio Project will be a scholarly essay or digital exhibit written in academic standard 3rd person. You should review the Portfolio Project instructions for Options 1 and 2 and choose the option you wish to complete.
Your topic posting should include the following:
- A title
- A fully developed thesis statement
- A brief (2-3 sentences) topic summary
- Possible primary sources.
