Discussion Topic:
In 2017 Michelle was texting her boyfriend Roy, who had been suffering from depression. On several occasions Roy mentioned that he wanted to kill himself. On July 12, 2014 Roy drove to a secluded parking lot. He kept his truck running and placed a garden hose from the tailpipe into a partially open window and then stepped into the truck. After a moment he stepped out of his truck and texted Michelle that he was considering backing out of his plan. Michelle told Roy to get back into the truck and complete his plan. The next morning Roys body was discovered having asphyxiated on carbon monoxide. Should Michelle have been charged as an accomplice? Why, or why not? What would you have charged her with based on the readings for this week.
