• Reflection Paper 20%: Life Course Turning Points/Transitions/Bonds: When did you first become aware of turning points/transitions, and social bonds that alter life trajectories (e.g., marriage, parenthood, employment, incarceration) and how they influence criminal offending?” Your response should be a minimum of 3 pages to a maximum of 5 pages (double-spaced, one-inch margins, Times New Roman, font size 12). This is intended to initiate the discussion of turning points/transitions, and social bonds and how they relate to criminal offending explore our individual positionalities on issues we will explore throughout the semester. Students are free to incorporate sources from our class, other classes relevant to the topic area, professional and personal experiences (where appropriate), and other academic sources (e.g., books, peer-reviewed journal articles).
