As you have learned, immunization against microorganisms has been an essential component in disease prevention. Scientists have developed a variety of vaccines against a large number of pathogens. This week’s discussion will focus on vaccination against influenza viruses.
Address the following criteria in your main response to this week’s discussion:

- What is influenza?
- What causes influenza?
- What are some of the impacts of the influenza viruses on the body?
- What is the difference between influenza and the common cold?

- Who should get vaccinated? Who should not get vaccinated?
- Why are some people in support of vaccinations and others not?
- Include any interesting information you find while researching this infection.
- Be sure to add at least one reference (using APA) which exemplifies where you learned about the material. This could be your e-text or another source. If you submit a video response, be sure to additional add a text response with your reference.
