• Identify the role and status of each member of the group.
• Explain why each role and status is important to achieving the overall goal.
• Identify the relationship strategy for each team member (using evidence from the scenario and profiles).
• Identify two (2) collaborative strategies that the team members used to complete their project. Provide evidence to illustrate how they used those strategies.
• Explain why collaboration and relationship building are important in personal and professional life.

What is the value of doing this assignment? This assignment gives you an opportunity to practice the skill of relationship building. It will show that you can identify and apply relationship building and collaborative strategies based on a scenario. Relationship building is a universal skill and one you will continue to refine as you progress throughout your career. This assignment asks you to use what you’ve learned in Weeks 3–6 of the course about roles, statuses, and collaboration. Worried about where to start? Your goal for this assignment is to: Practice your relationship building skill. You will do this by reviewing the workplace scenario provided in the webtext and answering related questions.

A group of employees at Spruce Paper Company recently finished a major project that involved multiple departments, from creative to distribution. The goal of the project was to develop a new line of holiday cards. In this assignment, you’ll review information about the group members and their roles on the project. You’ll use that information to answer some questions about their roles, statuses, and relationship building.

What you need to complete this assignment:

• Completed template, provided in the webtext.
• Downloaded Word document from the webtext.

Steps to complete: Complete the template for Assignment 2 in Chapter 6 of the webtext.

STEP 1:Read the scenario and team members’ profiles in the webtext.

STEP 2: Fill in the chart in the webtext with each team member’s role and status.

STEP 3: Identify each of the team member’s relationship building strategy.

STEP 4: Identify at least two (2) collaborative strategies that the team members use.

STEP 5: In 2–3 sentences, explain why collaboration and relationship building are important in professional and personal life.

STEP 6: Download your completed assignment from the webtext by following the instructions in Chapter 6 in the webtext.

STEP 7: Upload your document to the Week 6 Assignment link in Blackboard.
