Write an APA style annotated bibliography with at least four sources on the topic you have chosen.

Each entry in your annotated bibliography should be composed of two parts

1. A citation of one source.

2. A minimum 150-word annotation placed beneath the citation summarizing the content of the source (thesis, evidence, supports, main points, etc.), evaluating the usefulness and reliability of the source, and indicating how you might use the source in your research paper.

Additional Considerations

· Be sure to sufficiently summarize and paraphrase each source — no direct quotations

· The annotated bibliography should be written and formatted in scrupulous adherence to all APA style guidelines for its genre

Plagiarism

You are expected to write primarily in your own voice using paraphrase, summary, and synthesis techniques when integrating information from class and outside sources. Use an author’s exact words only when the language is especially vivid, unique, or needed for technical accuracy. Failure to do so may result in charges of academic dishonesty.

Overusing an author’s exact words, such as including block quotations to meet word counts, may lead your readers to conclude that you lack appropriate comprehension of the subject matter or that you are neither an original thinker nor a skillful writer. It is best if you write this paper without any materials from outside sources.

My research proposal will determine whether technology makes us more alone; therefore, my research topic is "Does technology make us more alone?".

Explain why you are interested in this topic

My topic would contribute to much necessary research in the social field, especially in improving relationships and helping to remedy what has been wrecked by technology. This topic will be interesting to me since it will give me a better understanding of the challenges of technology and its general effects on our social life. The topic will assist me in understanding today's society, a civilization in which technology evolves at breakneck speed; technology has become intricately tied to human life, a fundamental aspect of our lives owing to the countless benefits it gives. Technological improvements benefit all aspects of education, medicine, transportation, and entertainment. When most individuals think about how technology impacts our society, they instantly think of its positive effects. While technology is unquestionably beneficial, this topic will assist in exposing its negative consequences. While modern technology has improved our daily lives by providing several benefits, studies have indicated that the more you communicate via technology, the lonelier you are likely to feel. Technology has separated humanity and established a sense of reliance on it.

Discuss questions about the topic you would like to answer

The topic strives to answer questions connected to providing help to problems caused by technological advancement in social life. First, the topic answers questions such as;

Would spending too much time on social networks such as Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Tumblr elicit feelings of envy and the mistaken belief that others have better and more fortunate lives? Social media appears to have failed to perform the one thing it was designed to do: help people engage, develop socially, and even make people happy. Instead, people posting and sharing good stories only creates a lifestyle that makes others feel like they aren't living up to the standards. But these are false standards only designed by the technology that isn't there in real life.

Is it true that diminished face-to-face contact and more computer time at the expense of social interaction are the two key ways social networking may influence relationships? By addressing this question, the issue articulates any addictive behavior caused by technology and why individuals suffer emotions of loss of control, spend substantially more time online than anticipated, and substitute online interactions for face-to-face relationships; and that is the origin of trouble.
