Please consider this week’s readings and write your response about Jessica O. Matthews of Uncharted Power.

1.  Which qualities of successful social entrepreneurs does Matthews exhibit? Provide an example for each one you list.

5. Identify one social entrepreneur who is working to address the UN Sustainable Development Goal of greatest interest to you.  What is his/her organization?

Informed contribution to online discussion requires extensive preparation for each discussion: assignments have been read, videos viewed, material has been studied, and you have prepared discussion notes. A student’s ability to respond clearly and defend his/her views with logical thinking based on management concepts will determine this part of the grade.  Students frequently ask if their opinions are of value in online discussions. Opinions that have a clear and logical foundation in course concepts are valued.  Merely voicing wandering thoughts is not helpful.

Discussion boards are collaborative learning experiences.  There, the student will complete Canvas Discussions throughout this course.  Threads (initial responses) must be a minimum of 250 words, not including references.  Each thread must demonstrate college-level writing with regard to content and style.  Grading will be based on how well the student’s thread demonstrates that he or she has read, understood, and carefully considered the question(s)/topic(s) and assigned resources.  The student will then submit a thoughtful, relevant reply to two (2) other classmates’ threads (minimum 100 words each).  Initial threads should be posted two (2) days prior to the Discussion deadline to permit time for responses. Excluding the introductory post, initial responses will be worth up to 30 points and each reply worth up to 10 points.
