1) After reading Chapter 6, discuss the ways social problems addressed by your agency are examples of social, economic, or environmental injustice. What human rights issues are related to these social problems? (Be sure to provide a specific example from your practicum.) (My practicum is with mental health at dyess afb in the adapt department)

 

2) Based on the macro-level theory (second theory) you were assigned, how might that theory play out in your agency and work with clients? (Describe thoroughly with examples.) (the theory i was assigned is Behavioral theory which consist of

Focuses on changing, modifying, and/or eliminating behavior

Conditioning- classical, operant

Helper’s role is more of a coach and instructor

Positive/negative reinforcement

Social learning theory- modeling other people’s behavior

Behavior theory is more focused on changing behavior specifically instead of changing the thought process behind the behavior

3) Based on the “sources of knowledge” identified in Chapter 17, why is it important to include all sources of knowledge in social work practice? Which source of knowledge so you struggle with the most? Why? How might you improve? (Be specific with at least one example.)
