Determining Training Needs (up to 20 pts)

You are in charge of training for front-line supervisors at a large product distribution center. The vice president for human resources has realized that the training provided on sexual harassment has not been adequate, as there have been several complaints by employees and they usually involve the front-line supervisors. We know that everything begins with the needs analysis. How would you do the training needs assessment for this request, including who would you involve, what information would you need to gather and how would you do it?

Delivery Strategies (up to 25 pts)

Through doing a customer satisfaction survey at your drug store chain, you have found that the clerks don’t seem to be knowledgeable about products and this is frustrating the customers. Some have given out incorrect information, while others have responded, “I have no idea” or “I don’t know” when asked questions by customers. Select two of the teaching strategies/delivery methods that would be useful in your training program to correct this problem and describe why you selected them and what you would cover by using them.

Audience Characteristics (up to 15 pts)

You are training volunteers for a Walk-a-thon to raise awareness about child homelessness and to raise money to buy school supplies and clothing for homeless children. Your trainees include human services professionals and community volunteers. What elements are crucial to consider when determining the characteristics of your audience?

Doing a Presentation (up to 10 pts)

You will be doing a workshop at a community center to get people to wear masks to prevent the spread of Covid 19. Think about how you might begin and end your presentation that could have strong impact on your audience.

Writing and format (up to 10 pts)

This exam covers material from the first half of the class. Use the format for writing papers in the syllabus and upload your document here. Indicate the item number and title of each item with your answer, but don’t include the whole description of the item. Please notice the points allocated to each element. Your answers should be a minimum of 1/2 page each. Notice the difference in potential points and write accordingly.

This is not a research paper so it does not need to include any outside sources; if you use any, be sure to cite them properly. You should write in your own words, using material from the text, classes, items provided to you such as the training ebook in the Week 4 module and your own mind, which will clearly show your ability to apply course content to practical situations.
