In this research paper, describe your theological understanding of Christian funerals and best practices in terms of pastoral care of grieving families. Provide detailed scriptural underpinnings to support your theological stance.

Write a 5-page double-spaced research paper addressing funerals.
Define Christian funerals
Describe the central truths that are being conveyed in and through a Christian funeral service.
Discuss the pastoral care needed for the grieving families, in terms of pre-funeral care, post-care, etc.
Include at least four outside sources in addition to Scripture: two can be from course materials/readings and the other two will be scholarly articles you will find in peer-reviewed journals.
