Organization Development is a planned change discipline concerned with applying behavioral science knowledge and practice to help organizations achieve greater effectiveness.  In this course, you will conduct an analysis of your organization with the goal of creating a plan to improve an aspect of your organization’s performance. Each unit will build on the previous complete to achieve the goal.

For your Unit 1 Complete assignment, you will assess your organization.  Write a narrative essay (minimum 1500 words) in which you address and discuss the questions and statements listed below. Use at least three scholarly sources and remember to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the READ and Attend sections in your essay. Cite your sources in APA format.

•    Identify the name of your organization (current or past).
•    Describe your department’s role and the functions or deliverables your department provides to others in your organization.
•    Describe your role/title and functions with your department.
•    Name at least three roles/employees that impact your job performance and who are affected by your job performance.
•    Name thee organizations whose performance affects or is impacted by the performance of your organization.
•    List the industry for your organization and list three industries that affect and are impacted by the performance of your organization.
•    Identify the stakeholders of your organization.
•    List your initial observations and preliminary recommendations for change to improve your organizations’ effectiveness.
