You find this comprehensive project for this course to be fun and interesting. This project requires you to select from one (1) of the movies below. There are three parts to this project. In the first part of your project you will write a synopsis of the film and discuss the applicable theories that are central to the plot. In the second part of your project, you will write a brief description of the applicable laws pertaining to the crimes in the film and the type of punishment that would be given in your state. For the final portion of your project, you will incorporate parts 1 and 2, as well as discuss the applicable current criminal justice policies that address the crime(s) in the film.
This project is designed to reinforce the following course objectives:
Describe the concepts related to the study of criminology.
Describe research methods and trends in criminology.
Analyze the criminological theories detailing causes of crime.
Describe criminal behavior related to violent crime and property crime.
Your paper must include the following information:
A brief summary of the movie (be concise).
The relevant crime problems shown in the film. How were they dealt with?
Identify the theories of crime that apply. Use a minimum of two (2) different theories of crime to explain the criminal behavior displayed in the movie.
Do current criminal justice policies deal with the crimes effectively? Why or why not?
Discuss the law(s) applicable in the movie as they would apply in the state in which you reside.
Describe the types of punishment relative to the crimes.

Your paper must consist of a clear thesis statement, introductory paragraph, several body paragraphs and a conclusion paragraph.
