1. Develop the initial reference listing that you will use in the construct of your project. Your references should consist of at least ten peer-reviewed journal articles, government publications, or industry materials that address your identified industry problem. References can be added at a later time if needed. This listing will be further developed in Module 3. The listing should follow the guidelines listed below:

References should be in APA format.
Valid peer-reviewed journal articles or associated references that address the industry problem statement developed earlier in the course.

2.As part of your literature review, you will need to organize the references that you intend to use in research on which you are working. The reference listing developed in Activity 2.4 will be used for the development of the annotated bibliography. Essentially an annotated bibliography is a means of taking notes on references which will provide the basis of a research problem, guide your hypothesis development, and lay the foundation for your overall research project. Review the following resources that will assist you in writing annotated bibliographies (remember APA format is the required format) throughout the rest of the course:

Specifically:

a. Provide a complete reference listing formatted in accordance with APA requirements.
b. Describe the purpose of the reference source. Why was it written?
c. What was the result of the research/investigation? What does the reference show?
d. How is this applicable to your project research paper?
e. You will be evaluated on the quality of your references as well as the applicability of the content.

3. Using your annotated bibliography reference listing developed in Activity 31.2 as your starting point, draft an outline of your project (this should follow the guidelines in APA Guide Chapter 3, para 3.03) and submit for further review and approval. Submit an outline of your research paper. The outline should include the major headings and subheadings of your paper. The outline will help you put your thoughts on paper.

This submission should contain the following:

– A title page.
– A draft abstract of approximately 250 words (although this may change once you complete your research and finish writing your paper).
– A detailed outline which will include a bulleted outline with detailed descriptions of the proposed content within each section (at least one paragraph describing what you will discuss within each section/subsection of your paper).
– A draft reference section (although this may change once you complete your research and finish writing your paper).
