Globalisation often impacts many multinational companies in ways they don’t always like. Depending on the nature of the company in question, the impact of globalisation on international corporations may be positive or negative.

Outsourcing and off-shoring enable corporations to recruit workers in foreign countries, where labour and property expenses might be lower than in the home country of the company. Although such policies may have adverse effects on employees pursuing full-time employment, there is no question that they will minimise costs for companies, and therefore increase profits. WhatsApp, is a prime example of this, which outsourced most development to Russian app developers.

Countries with low corporate tax rates enable individuals and corporations to reduce their tax rates through the conversion of offshore assets. Bermuda, Belize and Switzerland are amongst those counties. In a globalised economy, multinational companies will have a tough time organising activities.  For example , a business that works in America, Japan, and Europe might have to recruit workers who speak several different languages. Then they will have to make sure that all the staff are on the same page because only a few of them share the same language, which can be tough for the company. Stephen Baker, et al (2001) confirmed and states that increases in global interactions have intensified the need for more coordinated and efficient lingual-border networking over the past few decades. Businesses seeking to expand multinationally in the business world have needed to consider ways to communicate across such a distance in cost-effective ways. In an attempt to streamline correspondence and avoid leaving team members out of the process, many companies have adapted their business languages to the universal language of English.
